School Homecomings
- The history of school homecomings, the first college to have a homecoming dance was in 1911. This was the Kansas vs. Missouri football game. The homecoming game is a tradition since the 19th century.
- Many schools celebrate homecoming during football season, basketball season or even soccer season. People who have already graduated may return to homecoming to see old friends.
- Some events that may occur before homecoming may be a pep rally during a football game. Students may prepare spirit week for people to show support and pride.
- Homecoming is an annual tradition and to welcome back former residents and students. It’s a reunion.
- Homecoming etiquette is the way students act during the dances or formals. They must behave appropriately and mature.

My opinion on homecoming is that it’s a great experience because it’s a way to have fun with friends and get to meet new people. You get to experience what the dances may be like and just have fun.
