                                              Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities: Health educators are people who inform people on health and wellness to prevent  diseases. They encourage people to make healthy lifestyle choices. They may work in health clinics, schools, colleges etc. They create health-related materials such as posters and websites. Health educators collect data to analyze it for programs.

Salary: $30,228-$80,760

Education: A health educator is required to have a bachelor’s degree or a higher degree in health education, public health education, or health promotion. To become a certified health education specialist, they must pass competency- based exam. After that exam they must take a 75 hours of education in a 5-year time frame.  

Demand for this profession: The projected growth for health educators is 21% from 2012-2024. This job outlook is growing faster than average occupations.

Reflection: I feel like a wouldn’t fit for this job outlook. This is because i’m not really good at understanding how the different parts inside of the body parts function. If I were to learn more about this topic I would.
