Duties and Responsibilities: Environmental Health Specialist are people who inspect environmental health systems and make sure people comply with the federal regulations. Their responsibilities often include reviewing permits, investigating complaints, performing inspections, etc. They make sure water and products are sanitary, and handle hazardous waste.

Salary: $53,372 - $65,540 annually*

Education: To become an environmental health specialist you are required to earn a bachelor’s degree in environmental health. Must have 1-3 years of work experience. You may also consider having a voluntary certification. It is important to have key skills because it allows you to interpret what the environmental issue might be.

Demand for this profession: Environmental specialist is projected to grow 11% from 2014-2024


Reflection: I wouldn’t like to be one there are many reasons why this job wouldn’t fit for me. I don’t stay focused most of the time and i just sometimes don’t pay pay attention of what’s around me.
