“Honesty is the best policy.” - Mark Twain

Mark Twain states that honesty is the best policy. Honesty means telling the truth. For example, when someone asks you about something you have to be honest. Being dishonest can lead to trouble. For example, if you are dishonest to someone they will find out you lied and it will make them lose your trust. When telling the truth to someone it makes you feel good because you did the right thing. Being dishonest makes you feel guilty in the inside because you knew you should’ve chose the right. Being dishonest to someone can affect them emotionally. This can cause you to lose their trust and someone you really cared about. That is why honesty is the best policy. When telling the truth you don’t have to worry about feeling guilty because you did the right thing in telling the truth. The truth doesn’t hurt anyone.
