Small animal vets often take care of household pets such as dogs, cats, bunnies, etc, they often work to fix any injuries or problems the animal might have. Large animal vets work with farm animals and make sure they get the correct medicine and working to prevent diseases.

After that is completed you must enter an American Veterinary Medical Association accredited school and earn a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. When practicing for veterinary medicine you must be licensed by your state. To earn your license you must DVM degree and complete/pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination. If you would want to specialize in surgery, cardiology, or medicine you are required to become a board certified vet.

Demand for this career: This career is projected to grow by 9% which is faster than most occupations. The demand for the veterinarian remains high and the competition for this job is high as well.

Reflection: I would be interested in this career because I like working with animals. I also want to work in a medical career so I think this would be a good combination. This would allow me to work with different types of animals and work with different types of tools.
