                                      Health Sciences Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities: These librarians are in charge of arranging and distributing clinical and biomedical texts for journals, texts etc. They are skilled to write detailed bibliographies on many different health fields. It is there job to locate any journal, book a customer may need. These job duties take place in health organization libraries, health information centers, and medical schools.

Salary: annual salary - $52,000

Education: Must complete the high school education with courses in science, math and in information technology and management. Followed by that a master's degree is required for this medical field. Classes you must take are biomedicine, literature, communications, library management and organization. You must also take training when applying to this profession.

Demand or need for this profession: A 2% of employment has been reported for the growth of health science librarians. It may have an opportunity for faster employment growth.


Reflection: I would be interested in this profession. This is because I would love to help others find the book they're interested in.  Helping others to find what they are looking for is cool. Although I wouldn’t be good with giving directions. I seem interested in this job profession because it would also give me a chance to learn more about the body, mind and health in general.
