World War II took place all over the world. Although most of it took place in Europe, East Asia, and Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Many events occurred during World War II. For instance, on December 7, 1941 japan bombed Pearl Harbor. They attacked twice. They once did it to take out ships and airfield. The second time they bombed everything else that was left. On May 8, 1945 Germany surrendered in a French schoolhouse. Americans celebrated victory in Europe day. These events took place in between September 1, 1939 - September 2, 1945. There are many World War II veterans. Some ways we should show respect is by placing a flag out in your garden, attending events that take place around your community, being respectful to veterans, and many more activities to get involved with others.
