Duties and Responsibilities: Medical scientists do research on bacteria and other sorts of viruses. They perform reviews, clinical investigations and create reports. They find solutions to different diseases to improve human health and wellbeing.  They come up with new treatment options and, medications and vaccines after they’re done testing, and doing research.

Salary: $41,560 - $142,800 annually

Education: The educational goal for a medical scientist is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biological Science. Before this they must attain a bachelor’s degree in biology or in a medical health related major. Medical scientist who work with patients have to be a licensed doctor. In order to get your license you must take an exam and you must pass it. Many medical scientist work together and move to working alone so you must have good communication skills and work well with others.

Demand or Need for this Profession: The average employment growth has been 8% for all medical scientists. These medical scientist typically work in hospitals, clinics or laboratories.

Reflection: I would like to be one of these medical scientist because I would like to look for treatments for different kind of illnesses to help people. It sounds like an interesting job because you get to work with different chemicals and formulas.
